, that is such a poetic occupation. i can't believe nobody's written this. then i got to look and sound of the city had turned down any team than six times by an arsonist. i thought who is this guy? said basically in the true crime writer. that's what i would have to. and then i found out one of these firemen was tom sawyer who told -- i forgot his name, robinson of the call he'd run with first volunteer fire department in california and that was brodrick one. back in new york more tom was a runner, a porch boy coming it in the competition among brodrick came us to make his fortune, he basically wanted to be a senator. that's what his plan was. tom came along and an assortment of the weirdest guys you ever saw, the worlds ugliest man, have you a chance, murderous, gunslingers, conmen, just absolutely amazing people. i thought it got to write this. as i work in a release we are very close to it the tom sawyer met mark twain in may of 1863 about three blocks from here. the old thing in the same room. twain liked to talk to tom because tom movies free stories and they played cards and drink here matching

on 355 being diverted. for the second time in one month, someone waiting for a new york city subway train has been pushed onto the tracks and killed. the latest incident happened last night in queens. as jummy olabanji reports, it has metro riders here on alert. >> new york city police say this surveillance video caught the suspect running from the subway station after the crime. >> i can't believe it is happening in this area. >> it happened last night around 8:00. police say an unknown woman pushed the man onto the tracks as the train approached the 40th street bashan in queens. investigators say the woman was sitting alone on a bench mumbling to herself before she got up and pushed the unsuspecting victim. witnesses told police they had no time to react. >> we heard about the incident in new york on twitter from one of my friends. >> earlier, a 58-year-old was shot inside -- in front of a train in times square. >> i am going to start standing back. >> people here in d.c. who take the train daily tell us while the two incidents in new york on very sad they do not plan to change their ha

on the deadly subway push in new york city. police now say that they have a woman in custody who they say made a statement implicating herself in the murder. this is surveillance video showing what appears to be the suspect right there, running from the platform, the sketch that you just saw earlier was what she may look like. a medium built woman believed to be in her 20's and witnesses claim she got up from a bench, suddenly pushed the man flying onto the tracks as the train approached the victim was a 46-year-old man from india and he lived in new york city. and this is the second fatal subway push this month. a $12,000 reward is offered for information about this horrific crime. >> kelly: fox extreme weather alert right now. concerns that the northeast faces another powerful snowstorm in less than a week. up to 20 in inches in some spots and now folks are bracing to spend another holiday weekend cleaning up after mother nature. maria molina is live with more details and i look out the window right now and i can see people walking around with umbrellas, trying to stay free from the snow. >>

in the murder-suicide case involving kansas city chief jovan belcher. the reports are that he spent an alcohol-fueled evening with another woman before he went home and got into that fatal argument with his girlfriend. a woman named whitney glass claims she had dinner with belcher and he spent the night in his car before headed home at approximately:00 in the morning. police say he got into a huge argument with his girlfriend and shot her 9 times. then he drove to arrowhead stadium, spoke to his coaches and took his own life. bill: belcher's family and teammates saying they are shocked and did not see such a brutal turn of event coming the way they did. >> maybe you can keep this separate and move on with maybe it guy you knew before saturday. i think there is maybe some comfort in that. but trying to figure it out and trying to connect those two to me is pretty confusing and just too difficult right now. >> you can't think back -- it what you so shocking i don't think anyone would have done anything different. bill: you wonder about the 3-month-old baby in the custody of perkins' mother who m

of the accumulation is going to be. you can see the city's involved in the winter weather advisory. front royal, winchester, frederick, hagerstown, leesburg and rockville. it doesn't look like this is going to be a big storm at all for us, moving long quickly. the way we see it now, most of the snow will arrive for everyone before sunrise and basically coming in overnight tonight. for the d.c. area here, we're talking about snow and we'll see snow for most of the day tomorrow. the highest accumulations will be north and west which, is very typical around here and all of the precipitation, whether it's rain or snow, will be tapering off late in the day. coming up with the full forecast, will, we're talking about where we think the greatest accumulations will be and who sees an inch of wet snow. >> all right, sounds like problems on the road. the district said it will be ready when the first flakes fall. city leaders say plows will hit the streets about 4:00 a.m. tomorrow and they're going to pretreat bridges, overpasses and other elevated roads that are prone to freezeing. that is a combination

to make cold wind for new york city, cold for albany, into boston, even into new hampshire. temperatures are going to be cold tonight, down into the teens for the most part. vermont, you did very well. i know that depends on your point of view, but for killington, for sugar bush, for the ski resorts there, almost two feet of new snow in a place that has been very hard hit by a lack of snow the past couple years. but woodford, vermont, so far, the winter at 21 inches of snow. tomorrow, we get another storm that moves up to the northeast, believe it or not, right up to new york. it's going to be a storm that runs right along the spine of 32 degree weather. so could even see some ice and sleet from memphis back up to new york city by saturday. it's a storm that's going to start in the south, just like the last one did. i don't expect severe weather, just rain here with this one, but then as it runs up the northeast coast, almost a nor'easter but not quite, we will see snow even into new york city. by saturday night, it could be three inches, and at least it's good that it's saturday and not

there on new year's receive in. >> of course. it's new year's eve in new york city. but the snow will be gone by then. it is a snowstorm nonetheless and the roads and anyone traveling in the northeast will run into some issues. we've already seen some reports of pretty bad road conditions across pennsylvania and new york state. that's where the snow has been heaviest. in new york right now it's just pretty at this point. it hasn't really made a mess of the roadways. the storm is going to take this track, moving in from the mid-atlantic and then off the coast of cape cod, massachusetts. that's going to keep the heaviest of the snow right in that area in pink from boston right back into hartford. that's where we're going to see our heaviest snow. everywhere elsewhere we have those winter weather advisories we are going to get some snow but about 1 to 3 inches. so it's totally manageable. but any snow on the roads obviously does cause some issues. you see on the storm tracker here where the shades of blue are showing up across new york, back into eastern pennsylvania, even in central new jersey.

girl could be running out of time. rick folbaum is live in our new york city newsroom with more. >> police say the girl could die in a matter of days unless she is found and taken back to a hospital for treatment. her name is emily bracamonte, she is 11 years old, she has been getting chemo to treat her leukemia for the past month. there have been complications, she developed an infection. doctors had to amputate part of one of her arms and insert a catheter into her heart. she apparently had that catheter in when for some reason her mother norm a removed the iv. dressed her in street clothes and walked her out of the front door of the hospital last wednesday night. the catheter is the biggest certain for doctors. leaving it in too long could lead to another infection, one that could kill her they say. the girl and her mother are american citizens, the girl's mother, louis bracamonte is mexican. he has a green card. neither parent is charged with a crime at this point. police are anxious to find this little girl to get her treatment. there is speculation that the mom took her ou
